Nature, in the 21st century, fascinates me.
I use the different techniques at my disposal - dry pastel, photography and engraving - to make several subjects that inspire me. I play with the linear, the hollows, the curve, the color and the light and I work the ephemeral effect of the visual of nature in the present.
My creation process is based on the exploration of the “sublime in nature”, the sublime being a quality that transcends the beautiful and triggers a surprise. My desire is to share my vision of the various elements of nature to arouse this astonishment, working as much figurative as abstract to release the visual functionality and reveal it to the viewer.
The observation of the nature that surrounds me, with the intensity of the sublime, the emotional upheaval felt and the capturing of a unique present moment, are the main vectors that enliven me and inspire in me the desire to express wonder and recognition of the beauty that I absorb. Through my art, I try to attract the eye of the observer and to lead him to reflect on the nature that surrounds him so that this reading becomes interesting, interested and intriguing.
I want to explore and share this beauty that transcends me.
